Job Summary

Outbound Product Sales Specialist is a customer focused, friendly, courteous, and always professional position that supports the sales and marketing efforts for Straightline HDD (Horizontal Directional Drilling industry) & Source: HDD (Ready-TO-Work HDD rigs, equipment and accessories) in a fast paced environment requiring the employee to possess excellent phone interaction and problem solving skills, as well as fielding a variety of tasks from e-mail and fax, to daily phone interaction with customers, always with courtesy and respect.

 

Role and Responsibilities
  • Regular, extended use of the telephone and computer to generate & uncover sales opportunities by making outbound phone calls and contact customers & contractors on daily basis offering our professional horizontal directional drilling / tooling technology, with an emphasis on service and collaboration, to help our customers remain competitive and profitable
  • Primary responsibilities include selling the company’s diverse range of products and services to new and existing customers. Marketing the company’s name and increasing customer awareness of the best Air Hammer Systems, Reamers, Mud Mixers, Bits, Transmitter housings, Adapters, and other Down-the-hole tooling that the horizontal directional drilling industry has available
  • Demonstrates clear, concise, and polite written and oral communication skills
  • Understand customer organization and decision making process. Present products or services in a structured professional way over the phone. Listen to customer requirements and discuss options with sales / executive management team
  • Demonstrates the ability to utilize departmental resources, and has thorough knowledge of products, policies and procedures
  • Demonstrates ability to perform all customer order functions from process inception to finish, as well as delivery by following up with customers to ensure satisfactory results
  • Ability to navigate within a Windows based, multi-application work environment
  • Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers in person, via telephone calls, and emails. Act as a contact between the company and its existing and potential markets. Overcoming objections to potential sales. Advise customers of forthcoming product developments and sales promotions
  • Ability to work and excel in manufacturing environment
  • Maintain marketing database, including updating existing records and creating new records

 

Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • While Associates Degree preferred, minimum High School Diploma or GED required
  • Two years Outbound Customer Service Call Center / Telemarketing experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • CRM System experience highly preferred (with past use of CRM Maximizer; a major plus)
  • Computer skills, specifically in a Windows based environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and working knowledge of other MS Office applications (Word, Excel)
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Significant phone and online customer service experience required
